Card Update - 14th June

Hello Backers, today is the 14th. Following on from the previous update we have now locked in card payments.
Card payments affect all backers that placed a credit card on file when completing the pledge manager; this is for pre-orders made via backerkit and shipping charges made via the pledge manager. If you paid via kickstarter and then paypal then payments will have already been taken at the time of purchase and nothing will be due.
We opted to NOT charge cards for shipping or pre-orders until shipping was ready. The reason we didn't initially charge backers was because we didn't feel right holding backers funds until we were sure to deliver the goods. We are now sure that all backers will be getting what they pledged for and as such have billed cards.
Updated Timescales
The updated timescale from the last updated we posted a few days ago still stands:
These are rough estimates:
- Billing of cards (if this applies to you) will take place on Tuesday the 14th. This will also be the cut off date for any address changes.
- Between 12th - 17th The factory and Fulfillment center should be in communication and arranging collection.
- Between 17th - 24th dice will be on route to fulfillment
- 24th - 4th fulfillment center will start shipping the goods via priority airmail.
- We expect 99.9% of backers to have the dice sets in hand and getting rolled on your tables by the end of July.
Declined Cards
We have a total of 600 cards which have been declined IF your card has been declined please update the card by following the link in the email that was sent to you.
Change of Address
If you have moved or will be moving in the next 2 weeks please let us know in the next 48 hours. We have a small window to update backers addresses.

Hello Backers, thanks for standing by us. The factory reopened on the 6th. Two hours ago the factory give notice to the shipping fulfillment center that shipping should be ready by next week.

Shanghai lockdown

As you know Shanghai has been in a 5 week lockdown, We are still in contact with our rep and waiting on positive news.
The last we heard was a few days ago in which a mass clean-up was planned in preparation for the lockdown to be lifted. Right now we still don't know when the government will grant the factory's sector to reopen, from reports it looks like this will be done area by area. Once we get news we will post and update.
The fact the government is running clean up operations suggests that the reopening of factories should be soon so please keep an eye on updates.

Hello Backers, super fast update for April. Right now we have the shipping marks and are just waiting to ship to the postal forwarder.
Currently shanghai is in lock down once it comes out of lock down the sets will be sent to the forwarder we are using based in Shenzhen and then posted to you. The postal times are vastly improved most backers (EU/NA) should see the sets around 5-10 days after shipment, Canada is 20 days. In terms of EU Customers the VAT will be collected and paid for by us.
Due to the lock-down we aren't sure when this will be. It really depends on when the Chinese government lifts the restrictions. We don't know if the government is going to give a weeks notice or a days notice, all we know is as soon as the restrictions are lifted we are shipping the sets to the forwarder and then on to you. Therefore we ask backers who have not been billed to expect billing to be this month.
Please use this update as the 2 week billing notice.

Hello Backers, We posted an update in the comments section a few days back, but are posting an updated version here for those of you who missed it.
As you are aware we are having major issues with port forwarding, sadly theirs a global shortage of shipping containers and every port forwarder we have contacted has led nowhere. Ports are backlogged, prices are sky high and ports are rejecting shipments. Rather then waiting for the ports to clear up and companies to start accepting shipments we are moving to a 3rd party fulfillment provider.
Port Forwarding Vs Fulfillment
Originally we were going to use a port forwarder to get the shipments to us. Port forwarders are basically middle men that arrange shipments for you and handle the full logistics. The forwarders arrange the containers, the collection of goods and supply you with the necessary paperwork and shipping marks for the shipment to take place and deal with customs on your behalf. The shipment times for port forwarding right now are 60-80 days by sea-fright, 7-10 days repacking, 45 days reshipment.
Third party Fulfillment centers are exactly what it sounds like, its a 3rd party that repacks and ships the good directly to the end customer. The shipping times for Fulfillment are vastly faster as the centers use airmail. The shipment times for dispatch to door are 3-10 days with an average shipment time of 5 days for most customers. Canada for some unknown reason has a shipment time of 15-20 days but every other country has very nice mailing times.
What have we been doing in February
During the month of February we have been waiting on emails from port forwarders, we give them the benefit of the doubt that a response would come after CYN but very few even emailed us back. Around the 20th we started emailing fulfillment centers and seeing if they could help with the shipments.
The reason we never went down the fulfillment route before is we aren't fulfillment ready, our initial plan was to run the shipments in house from the UK and dispatch as one parcel to backers. We currently have the Dice Bags and Trays in the UK while the add-ons such as the metal dice and mystery bags are held in our distribution warehouses in HK and Latvia while the Chaos Dice are at the factory in China.
Swapping over to fulfillment will be faster for backers however it poses issues for us, which we are now in the process of sorting out. It also means backers that ordered the larger bundles will be getting shipments from 3 locations, which is more expensive for us but we will be covering the expense, so nothing is owed by backers.
In total we have 52 SKUS these SKUS all match the backers report, we spent last week swapping over SKUs and rearranging order data. We now have to wait for the factory to repack the sets and assign the new SKUs. Wait for the fulfillment center to arrange a pickup then assign ASNs and then dispatch based on new SKUs.
Right now we don't have an estimate on shipping times, as we are unsure how long the factory need to swap over the SKUs, we only give them the updated SKUs last night and do expect them to not fully understand. However with us swapping to airmail please keep an eye on emails, as once we are ready the sets wont take long to reach you.
